Application Process
The Traditional Scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors to be used in their first year of college.  The student must attend a four-year fully accredited college or university, or a technical college, as full time student. 

  1. Awards are selected on the basis of:
    • Financial need
    • Academic achievement based on grade point average, a rigorous academic program, and standardized test scores
    • Extracurricular activity participation, community service, and leadership
    • Educational desires and goals
    • Desirable personal character established through the recommendation of a person who is not a family member or guidance counselor
  2. The application submitted must be complete; incomplete applications will not be considered.
  3. All information is held confidential. An anonymous screening committee will choose recipients.
Deadlines:
February 15: Four-Year Colleges or Universities - Completed application packet must be submitted to high school counselor.

April 9: A copy of all pages of the Student Aid Report (SAR) must be received at the Scholarships, Inc. office no later than April 9 in order to be considered.  Remember to file the FAFSA early and then print a the summary report.

April 30: Technical Colleges - The completed application, along with the Student Aid Report, must be submitted to your counselor.

June 15: Returning Adults -Individuals who have been out of high school for at least one year and planning to attend their first year of higher education.  These applications will be availabe beginning May 1, 2010.
