Scholarship Opportunities

We offer several different scholarships to Brown and Door County, Wisconsin students. Our goal is to continue to grow our ability to provide financial help to as many worthy applicants as possible.  Currently, our scholarship offerings include:

Traditional and Technical College Scholarships: Available to high school graduating seniors for their first year of college.

Applicants must:
  • Graduate from a Brown or Door County, Wisconsin high school
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Show academic achievement, community service, leadership, and co-curriculars
  • Attend an accredited four-year degree granting institution or a technical college
  • Articulate clarity of thought in response to essay questions

Renewal Award: Opportunities to apply for a second year scholarship are available to students who were Traditional Scholarship recipients of Scholarships, Inc. in Brown County, WI.  Most Partnership Scholarships are not renewable.  Renewal applications are mailed to the original address submitted by the recipient.  It is the responsiblity of the student to notify Scholarships, Inc. of an address change and notify the Scholarships, Inc. office if an application is not received by June 1st.

Applicants must:

  • Demonstrate continued academic achievement and active participation in college activities 
  • Continue to demonstrate financial need
  • Submit renewal application, statement of progress, and college transcript for their first year of college
Distinguished Student: Recipients are chosen by the administration of the participating Brown and Door County high schools based on academic performance, community service, and proven leadership skills. The recipient must attend an accredited four-year institution. One graduating senior from each school receives a one-time award of $1,000. Students need not apply to be considered for this award.

Returning Adults: Available to individuals at least one year post high school and starting their first year of higher education. Applications are available through area colleges and universities, and from our office.

Applicants must:
  • Live in Brown County, Wisconsin
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Plan to attend an accredited four-year degree-granting institution or a technical college, and maintain at least nine credits each semester
  • Be entering their first year of higher education studies
  • Show a statement of goals, financial need, personal accomplishments, and academic ability
Partnerships: These agreements allow a donating individual, organization, or corporation to design a scholarship, specifying certain criteria. Specifications must fall within the operating parameters of Scholarships, Inc., while at the same time opening opportunities to recognize students with specific accomplishments.
